This Side of the Pulpit is my personal blog. I tend to keep to ecclesiastical matters, but sometimes I just write about what’s on my mind.

I have a degree in Philosophy from the University of Central Oklahoma and an M.Div from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO. I speak some German, write articles and fiction, make sawdust in the garage and with my dear wife chase after my four children, who mean the world to me.

I serve Redeemer Lutheran Church in Enid, OK and am currently the 3rd Vice President of the Oklahoma District of the LCMS. Previously I was a town and gown pastor at University Lutheran in Tuscaloosa, AL.
