Endings and Beginnings: September 2 Edition

It’s already September. August was too quick. I’m fearing ”Busy Pastor” syndrome. Choirs begin tonight, midweek and confirmation next week, plus all the special events of this fall… Sigh….

Good news is that the geothermal wells are done! One minor injury (repetitive strain-induced), no major mechanical problems, a few minor kinks here and there, but a job well done. It was a pleasure to get to know the rig owner/operator, who was a true mensch–a class act, all around and great guy. We had good numbers of volunteers who came everyday, great meals provided by a number of ladies in the congregation and great weather after the first few days.

Thanks be to God.

Now, back to work…
