I’ve implemented the expansion I wrote about earlier. Now posts on Ubuntu, Linux, computers, gadgets and stuff may be found by clicking on the page above called Techno-Noob. A “noob” is slang for “newbie” which is slang for “new user,” usually meaning somehow who barely knows how to find the “on” switch. That’s [...] In a previous post I wanted a screenshot of the Gnome Do “Docky” theme preferences. Then I ran into problems with the “Print Screen” key on my Dell keyboard. The thing wouldn’t work. Gnome Do is incredibly handy, and I love the Docky interface, but I wanted it to behave more like Awn in allowing it to appear on top of open apps and windows. But the prefs under “Theme” don’t allow much customizing of its appearance. I just installed Sun’s VirtualBox for Linux. As I write this I am using Ubuntu with a window open on another cube running Windows XP. What’s a cube, pray tell? Here’s a screenshot: (I’m a complete noob when it comes to Linux and Ubuntu. I’m not a developer, programmer or anything. I’m a user. If you know more than I do–and that is likely–feel free to leave a comment and correct me where I’m wrong.
